PIHA doesn’t follow the rules the other seven labels do. It’s the seasonal slot we reserve for whatever lot surprises us most in a given year — sometimes floral, sometimes fruited, always something we haven’t quite tasted this way before. If you want the current edge of what we’re excited about, PIHA is where to look. Its character shifts every season by design — that’s the point.
This season’s lot: Catucái Amarelo 2SL, natural process, 1,150m, 88 pts (SCA). Notes: floral, citrus, green apple.
All KIAORA single-origin lots are grown on Fazenda Sonho Meu, in Sul de Minas, Brazil, by producer João Pedro Basso — roasted in Ocala, Florida.
